Long Island Documentary Style Wedding Photography︱Rajotte Photography

My name is Marybeth, and I am a Long Island based documentary wedding & elopement photographer.

As a Long Island documentary style wedding photographer, I capture the authentic moments of your day in a natural and unobtrusive way. Rather than staging every shot, my approach focuses on documenting the genuine emotions, interactions, and reactions as they unfold. From quiet glances to epic moments on the dance floor, your wedding gallery will tell your unique love story - preserving the spontaneity and intimacy of each moment. My style emphasizes the honest experiences you share with family and friends.

As a child, my favorite "toy" was a Polaroid camera, sparking a passion in me that has become the driving force behind my work. I aim to document your fleeting moments and memories in a nostalgic and storytelling way - allowing you to relive the your wedding memories for years to come.

In June 2021, I became the bride, experiencing the magic of an intimate backyard wedding. I'm passionate about working with clients who prioritize being intentional with their time - creating a low-stress environment, and allowing space for those genuine moments to unfold.

A Seamless & Personalized Experience

Through questionnaires and consult calls, we collaborate to build the timeline of your dream wedding. Every step of the way, I am here for YOU, providing a seamless and personalized wedding experience. Every detail matters to me. I take the time to truly get to know YOU - your comfort level, insecurities, and favorite features. Because capturing you in an authentic way is paramount, I want you to look and feel like your best self on your wedding day.

As documentary-style wedding photographers, our focus is on capturing the in-between moments that you'll want to remember forever. Whether it's the subtle touch of your spouse's hand or the glances exchanged between guests, I focus on capturing the authenticity of your wedding day.

I aim to provide you with a wedding day experience where you don’t feel like the entire day has been curated for your photos - rather, the photos have been curated to YOUR DAY. Giving you space and time to enjoy your loved ones, easy and comfortable posing that feels natural and not cheesy, and making your wedding photos feel effortless.

More Than Just Candid Shots

The terms “documentary-style” and “candid” are often misconstrued. It's not only about photos that don’t feel posed or cheesy. Documentary style means capturing the day exactly as it truly happens, without directing every single moment. It means being a fly on the wall, waiting for those fleeting moments to unfold organically - capturing them discreetly.

Becoming an observer, and seeking out those special moments that can’t be recreated.

Documentary style is about slowing down, enjoying the company of your loved ones, and letting your photographer capture the real and raw moments. It means not stepping in when the bride wants to hold her own train and avoiding rigid shot lists in favor of intentional timeline planning.

Your Love Captured on 35mm Film

I'm thrilled to share my love for film photography with my clients. Film captures nostalgic, fun images of your wedding day, perfect for sharing on social media or printing in small formats. It adds a unique touch to your memories, making each moment more special.

Film photos are delivered digitally in your online gallery, with key moments focused on digitally. The limited number of shots with film makes each moment more precious, adding a touch of magic to your wedding memories.

Investment & Experience

Your wedding photos are the only tangible piece of your wedding memories, - hire someone who provides photographs that invoke a feeling of nostalgia.

My signature editing style is bold, romantic, and true to color, with consistent luxurious tones.
